One of the best movies of the 80s is a movie that is something that only a small percentage of the population has seen and an even smaller amount love. That movie is Terry Gilliam’s Brazil and is about a dystopian world where the search for an air conditioner repairman leads a man into the depths of hell. True film geeks can agree that it was a masterpiece, and it looks like Gilliam has returned there with this latest The Zero Theorem trailer.

Now, this isn’t the first time the trailer for The Zero Theorem has been seen but it was pulled from online last time around. It is now back and it looks like this one is more legitimate and won’t get yanked.

As someone who considers Gilliam’s 12 Monkeys as one of my favorite movies of all time, and someone who really loves his eclectic stuff like Brazil, Baron Munchausen and Time Bandits, it is exciting to see him working on something unique again.

There is still no U.S. distributor, but when someone picks it up we will let you know. Check out The Zero Theorem trailer above and let us know what you think. Here is the synopsis as well.

An eccentric and reclusive computer genius plagued with existential angst works on a mysterious project aimed at discovering the purpose of existence – or the lack thereof -once and for all. However, it is only once he experiences the power of love and desire that he is able to understand his very reason for being.
