The X-Men Days of Future Past trailer just hit today and it looks simply amazing. Yes, X-Men First Class was a great movie, but it is so great to see Bryan Singer back on board as the director. This movie looks like it has the potential to be the best movie in the X-Men series.
We see Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) trying to convince Wolverine to head back in time to help them stop the war that has destroyed their world. There are good looks at Storm, Iceman, Kitty Pride, and Rogue as well as new characters from the future including Bishop (hell yeah!) and Warpath.
Professor X tells Wolverine he needs to go back into his younger body and find both Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender), who have gone in their own direction, Xavier losing hope and Magneto heading to a very dark place. He then has to convince them to help him stop the war before it gets started.
There are also shots of Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask (the man who created the Sentinels), although his robots are not seen in the trailer. The Beast and Mystique also make appearances as well.
Then, the last scene with Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy face-to-face sells the entire thing. Just wow.
Overall, the X-Men Days of Future Past trailer has made me very jacked to see this movie and it looks like it could deliver on every level. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments below.
