Cormac McCarthy’s stories have never exactly been modest. If anything, the award-winning novelist’s work has primarily focused on the themes of sex, violence, and death. Blood Meridian is one of the most violent books ever written, and books like Outer Dark and Child of God feature such gruesome things like incestuous pregnancies and necrophilia respectively. But it looks like McCarthy’s new film The Counselor is set to break new ground.

Believe it or not, Cameron Diaz’s character Malkina will be having sex with a car.

Yes. You read that correctly. She will be doing “the nasty” with an automobile.

According to IGN, the character of Malkina is the girlfriend of the underworld figure Reiner (Javier Bardem) and she is known for her unpredictability. She is a sociopath who has absolutely no sense of empathy, and there’s nothing she won’t do to seize power or anything else she feels she deserves. No matter what she does, she’ll never feel regret for her actions.

IGN also posted a picture of the “auto-erotic” scene. In context, Malkina is sitting on Reiner’s car windshield, giving him a great view of herself as she grinds on the glass, with nothing in between her and the glass.

From the way IGN described the scene, it turns out that this action actually freaks Reiner out instead of turning him on. It certainly appears that way, given the expression on his face.

Wow. We only knew a little about the film’s outline before this, but I’m not sure anyone ever expected something like this. It sounds very much like one of the strange moments in one of the Coen brother’s movies.

The Counselor arrives in theaters on October 25th.

What do you think about this idea? Does it entice you for the movie? Or does it make you have a face like Reiner’s? Why don’t you just tell us what you think in the comments below?
