After what seems like forever, an RIPD still has finally hit the Internet. The movie, in development for what seems like forever, finally hits theaters in July, but there have been no photos or trailers to make fans comfortable in that release date.
RIPD is based on the Dark Horse comic book R.I.P.D. – Rest in Peace Department. The comic, and the movie, features a cop named Nick (Ryan Reynolds) who is killed and ends up joining the police in the afterlife, the RIPD, where his job is to protect the living from the dead.
However, the twist is that Nick only joined the police department because he wants to find out who killed him. Jeff Bridges stars as his veteran partner in the afterlife Roy Powell while Kevin Bacon plays a bad guy.
The movie is a horror-comedy and Zack Galifianakis was originally case in the role that went to Ryan Reynolds, if that makes any kind of sense at all.
This new RIPD still shows Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds with their supernatural guns drawn.
RIPD is scheduled to hit theaters on July 19, 2013.
