Mark Millar recently gave an interview at SFX.com to discuss the upcoming film, X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Millar addressed concerns about the size of the cast, by saying that every character in the moment will have their chance, and that it won’t feel over-crowded. He compared it to the Star Trek reboot and Lost, and the original two X-Men films. With Bryan Singer at the helm, those movies were able to establish quite a few characters without feeling crowded.

Millar wouldn’t say too much about the Sentinels, but he did claim that The Sentinels would be ‘a big feature of the story.’ He also acknowledged that X-fans have been waiting to see The Sentinels since the X-Men: The Last Stand trailer.

One of the final subjects that Millar addressed on X-Men was about Kitty Pryde aka Shadowcat. In the original story of Days of Future Past, Pryde is essential to the story. Millar wouldn’t say much but he did say that the fans of Kitty Pryde would not be disappointed.

On a side note, Millar talked about how he felt about The Dark Knight Rises. He said that he did like it overall, even preferring it to The Avengers. He found the theme of the “rich vs poor” particularly compelling and timely. That being said, he did say that he felt that “Nolan should go to movie jail for the Bane vs Catwoman thing at the end. But the rest of the movie was so brilliant that you could easily forgive him.”

What do you think of Millar’s teases about X-Men: Days of Future Past? Are you excited to see Kitty Pryde and The Sentinels? Do you agree with him that there should be a warrant for Christopher Nolan’s cinematic arrest? Why don’t you just tell us what you think in the comments below?
