As the title of this article indicates, there are some spoilers here for both Avengers: Infinity War as well as what fans can expect from Avengers 4.
So, Avengers: Infinity War ended with a moment that shocked fans who had never read the comics it was based on and went a little further than even those fans who expected the devastation believed it would. Basically, Thanos snapped his fingers and won.
Half of the beings in the universe died — all turning to ash and leaving the survivors heartbroken. Captain America watched Bucky die before his eyes. Iron Man held Spider-Man in his arms and watched as he cried and begged not to die, only to die as well. The warriors of Wakanda watched their king, The Black Panther, die.
Rocket Raccoon got it the worst. Remember in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 when he thought Peter Quill died and said that he wouldn’t lose two friends by stunning Gamora and trying to escape with her? Remember his reaction when Groot died to save them all in the first Guardians of the Galaxy? Remember his heartfelt emotions when Yondu died?
Rocket Raccoon was the only member of the Guardians of the Galaxy who lived (Nebula is not a member). Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Mantis and teenage Groot all died.
Want to cry again?
James Gunn tweeted that Groot’s last word before he died when he looked at Rocket Raccoon was … “dad.”

Well, don’t get too depressed. There is a Black Panther 2 coming out and the first movie after Avengers 4 is the second Marvel-produced Spider-Man movie. If they are coming back, expect The Avengers to find plenty of ways to bring back more.
With that said, Avengers: Infinity War is only two weeks old and one actor is already spoiling that last devastating scene with all the deaths.
Yeah, Chris Pratt did the innocent thing of sending out an Instagram message wishing Pom Klementieff a happy birthday and saying he was excited to start shooting Guardians of the Galaxy 3 with her next year. Yep. As expected, this means that Starlord and Mantis will live as well.
Most comic book fans know that most of the characters did not die forever (although we think there will be at least one or two major deaths in Avengers 4 anyway). However, this message proves that at least two more people, other than Black Panther and Spider-Man, will be back for sure after the next Avengers flick.
