Star Wars: Rebels is the next phase in the Star Wars animated universe and will premiere on Disney XD later this year. There was a small video look at the show a little while back, but Disney just released a brand new Star Wars: Rebels extended look trailer this week.
The Star Wars: Rebels series isn’t just the new animated series, but it might also give out hints to what fans might see when the new trilogy kicks off in 2015. With hints of Jedi Hunters in the next few movies, the main basis of Star Wars: Rebels is that the Inquisitor, who works for Darth Vader and leads a task force to hunt down the Jedi’s who survived after Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

“The Jedi have been wiped out and the Empire spreads tyranny through the galaxy. Hope runs thin. But on the small planet of Lothal a big change is looming. A group of rebels meet a 14-year-old con artist named Ezra and soon it’s clear their destinies are linked. Aboard their ship, the Ghost, Ezra and the rebels embark on an adventure to ignite a rebellion and strike back against the Empire.”
