Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been connected to a couple of different DC Comics projects that never came to fruition. The first was playing Black Adam in a Shazam movie and the second was playing Lobo, the galactic bounty hunter. Today, The Rock tweeted that he may be in line for a DC Comics role after all.

Now, it doesn’t say who he plans on playing, but it sounds like whoever it is, the movie will shoot in 2014, so it is definitely in the works. Could The Rock be taking on a role in Batman vs. Superman? That is the only DC Comics movie that is known to be shooting in 2014, but the company also said they plan on making two low budget movies ever year.

The three movies rumored to start production are Suicide SquadBooster GoldDeathstroke and Team 7. A lot of websites have ventured that he will be taking on the role of Lobo based on his past affiliation with the character. Black Adam could be a good choice too, but Warner Bros. shelved Shazam after Man of Steel.

But the fact is that there are four movies in the works, so smart money is on Rock either being in Batman vs. Superman or one of the already announced movies. Here are two thoughts:

I would love either one of those choices, but I would prefer to see The Rock as Deathstroke. That would be an amazing casting choice. Of course, Team 7 is a military team, so that would fit The Rock’s persona even more. It is also the movie that would need the most star power to sell.
