Remember that awful-looking trailer for the Zombieland web series that was supposed to premiere on Amazon? Thankfully, Amazon has reneged on the show based on the overwhelming negative reaction that trailer received, according to Zombieland co-creator Rhett Reese.

“Our Zombieland series will not be moving forward on Amazon,” Reese tweeted late Thursday afternoon. “Sad for everyone involved.” Sad for everyone, except the fans — Reese continues: “I’ll never understand the vehement hate the pilot received from die-hard Zombieland fans,” it’s because it looked like an April Fool’s joke trailer, Rhett. “You guys successfully hated it out of existence,” HAHAHA! Good one!

“Anyway, we did our best, and we’re very proud of our team,” Reese added.

It’s too early to discern if the show will continue via another platform, they have to had already shot a few episodes already haven’t they? Hopefully they just bury them in a field somewhere far from civilization WHERE NO ONE WILL EVER FIND THEM. Seriously, if you never saw the original trailer, check it out below:

It’s bad, and not in a bad good way, in a bad bad way. It honestly makes he wonder if the whole thing wasn’t an elaborate hoax. Really, they couldn’t have been serious with that shit.

Good thing Amazon took this out back and shot it in the head, hopefully twice so it never comes back — Rule #2: Double-tap.
