Comicpalooza, the 2013 Texas International Comic Convention, already had a great lineup with names like Patrick Stewart, Michelle Rodriguez and the cast of Battlestar Galactica in attendance. Genre fans get another cult favorite now as the convention has secured Danny Trejo to attend the convention as well.
Comicpalooza takes place on Memorial Day weekend, May 24-26, and Renegade Cinema will be there as I will be on hand hosting the Stephen King dollar baby film festival (see the new updated schedule for that here). I’m also pretty excited to see that Danny Trejo will be there as well. Trejo will only be at the convention on Saturday and Sunday, but Saturday is always the best day anyway.
Danny Trejo, of course, has appeared in many of Robert Rodriguez’s movies, including Machete, From Dusk Till Dawn, Once Upon a Time in Mexico and the Spy Kids flicks. He’s also appeared in movies like Con Air, The Replacement Killers and The Devil’s Rejects.
Comicpalooza takes place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, and tickets can be purchased online.
