My most anticipated movie of 2013 changes depending on what day you talk to me, but honestly, it jumps back and forth between Man of Steel and The World’s End. We have seen lots to get us excited about Man of Steel, but the very first The World’s End trailer just hit the Internet less than an hour ago and we have it for you here.

So, up until now all we knew about the latest collaboration between Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost was that The World’s End was about a group of friends re-uniting to complete the epic pub crawl they failed to complete when they were younger. It is also part three of the Three Cornetto Flavour trilogy, following Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

Now, that The World’s End trailer is here, we see it is MUCH more than that. As we already knew, Simon Pegg is the only one of the friends who has not really grown up and is the one who wants to return to their home town to complete the pub crawl. His friends are played by Nick Frost, Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman and Eddie Marsan.

Then we see that, the minute they return and start the epic crawl (where the final pub is called The World’s End), everything goes to hell. Really, you need to see this trailer to understand where Edgar Wright is going, but it looks to me like he is giving his take on Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

And I can’t freaking wait.

Check out The World’s End trailer and be on the lookout for the Hot Fuzz homage, with Simon Pegg pulling a pratfall that Nick Frost pulled in that earlier effort.
