A new Injustice Gods Among Us trailer for DC’s latest fighting game has arrived online.
The premise of the game details a schism between the famous heroes of the DC Universe. After a series of tragic events, Superman and a group of other heroes have taken control of most of the planet in a totalitarian new world order, while Batman and another group of heroes work in rebellion to try and bring them down.

The gameplay of Injustice will mirror that of the Mortal Kombat vs DC game, as well as the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot, with the player advancing though a cinematic narrative by defeating the traditional ladder of increasingly difficult opponents. Alongside Batman and Superman, the player will also get to use iconic heroes such as Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Flash, Green Arrow, Captain Marvel and others alongside villains like The Joker, Deathstroke, Catwoman, Bane, Sinestro, Doomsday, Harley Quinn, Lex Luthor, and Solomon Grundy.

You can certainly tell that NetherRealm Studios, the minds behind Mortal Kombat, made this game. It looks both dark and brutal. I saw Catwoman’s finishing move a while back and it did kind of shock me. The move itself shows how she whips her opponent into the air, and then brings them down hard onto the ground, snapping their neck in the process. If that’s Catwoman’s finisher, we’ll be in for some very violent activity indeed.
