So, how about those Mel Gibson Expendables 3 rumors?
Yesterday evening, Stallone took to the Twittersphere to ask fans a question regarding the upcoming sequel. I saw this tweet from Stallone yesterday but didn’t think anything of it at the time. Turns out I probably should have because this may not be a joke at all. Here is the first tweet from Sly himself, which sounded tongue-in-cheek:
“What about Mel Gibson directing EXPENDABLES FIVE???”
Like I said, sounded like he was just bullshitting around. Then shortly later, Sly followed up saying…
“No , I was kidding about [that] but seriously, what about Mel Gibson directing EXPENDABLES 3? Opinions anyone? Curious…”
Could the Braveheart helmer be tackling the third entry in the action hero extravaganza? This would be pretty cool. I am not a huge fan of the personal choices Gibson has made, but the man can direct damn good films. It would be interesting to see what a Mel Gibson Expendables 3 film would look like. Plus, maybe this could mean Gibson could join the franchise. On that note, someone go find Danny Glover ASAP!
