Attention citizens of Panem. The 75th Annual Hunger Games is quickly approaching.

That’s right Hunger Games fans. We’re going to get our first look at the upcoming sequel very soon. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire trailer will be shown for the first time during the 2013 MTV Movie Awards on April 14. You can also catch a sneak peak at MTV.com.

Members of “Team Gale” will be excited to know that the trailer is to be presented by none other than Liam Hemsworth, as if the trailer’s debut itself wasn’t enough of a reason to tune in. It should come as no surprise that MTV is jumping to claim Hunger Games exclusives, such as the trailer reveal, after the first film’s success at last year’s Movie Awards taking home the Golden Popcorn for Best Female Performance, Best Male Performance, Best On-Screen Transformation, and Best Fight.

I personally can’t wait for Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson to return to the big screen as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. As well as returning favorites Elizabeth Banks and Woody Harrelson, we get to welcome new members to the cast, for example Sam Clafin as Finnick Odair and Jena Malone as Johanna Mason. And although director Gary Ross, whose work on the first film I thoroughly enjoyed, is not returning for this project, I have extremely high hopes for the film directed by Francis Lawrence.

As you can guess, I will be tuning into the MTV Movie Awards to catch  The Hunger Games: Catching Fire trailer debut. Will the rest of the Hunger Games fandom be tuning in as well? I expect a good number of them to.

The MTV Movie Awards will take place on Sunday April 14 at 9/8C.
