Last year, we got a teaser trailer for Carrie which just showed the town in flames with a warning. It ended with Carrie in the streets, wrecking havoc. Now, this week we got the full official Carrie trailer.
So, what do we think?
Well, it doesn’t really hold much back. Carrie’s mother is seen verbally abusing her as well as quoting scripture that doesn’t really exist. We also see her in school, bullied and abused by her classmates. We get the iconic period scene in the shower and the pig’s blood at the prom.
However, we also see some differences in the two stories. In this trailer, it seems like Carrie is working a lot harder at learning telekinesis, which almost makes the prom devastation look like a premeditated attack. Of course, this is a trailer, and that might be off base.
The second biggie is what we saw in both the teaser and trailer, as it looks like there is more violence outside of the school, although once again that just might be the trailer promising more.
From the look of the Carrie trailer, both Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore look perfectly cast, so that is a positive. There is just a lot of pressure for this to be good, especially for Stephen King fans, since this was his very first novel.
Check out the trailer and let us know what you think.
