The first Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer is here, and it is pretty damn awesome. What makes this a perfect trailer is that you have pretty much minimal plot being spoiled, but you have the exact feel for what you should expect.
Anyone taken by surprise by the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer must have missed Rise of the Planet of the Apes, because this franchise has not just been resurrected, but it is better than it ever was before.
From the look of the trailer, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes starts about eight years after the first movie ended, with the virus and in-fighting wiping out most of humanity. We then see Gary Oldman giving a speech about what they went through and how they needed to fight to get back what it is they lost.
We see Jason Clarke heading into the jungle to speak to Caesar, and then we see very angry looking Caesar, with his army of apes waiting behind him, as he signals it is time to attack.
And with that, humanity stands no chance. This just looks like more of the same awesomeness we got with Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
