James Marsden is a friend of Renegade Cinema, so when he signed up to co-star in the upcoming Anchorman: The Legend Continues, we popped some of the bubbly. Actually, we don’t need much of an excuse to pop the bubbly, but this was a nice reason.
Anchorman: The Legend Continues is a movie I have been waiting on since the brilliant original film, and it is finally coming to fruition. Marsden has joined the cast as a rival newscaster to Ron Burgundy. I have to wonder if we will have another exciting alleyway rumble between rival news crews?
Marsden joins Kristen Wiig as new cast members, joining up with the returning Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Steve Carell, David Korchner and Paul Rudd. Adam McKay is back to direct the sequel to his 2004 hit comedy.
For those who have not seen it yet, make sure you check out James Marsden’s most recent sci-fi movie Robot and Frank, and brilliant small film I had a chance to check out last year at the deadCENTER Film Festival, where Marsden was also presented with the Oklahoma Icon Award.
Anchorman: The Legend Continues hits theaters on December 20, 2013.
