The Conjuring is high on this Renegade Reporter’s radar. Directed by James Wan (Saw, Insidious, Insidious Chapter 2 and the upcoming Fast and Furious 7) and starring Lili Taylor as well as Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as Ed and Lorraine Warren (click this link and/or this link to learn more about the famous paranormal investigative couple), The Conjuring depicts the case of the Perron family, who moves into a steal of a home (don’t most of these haunted house films start out with rock bottom real estate that’s too good to be true?) in Rhode Island that houses (see what I did there?) a murky and dangerous past. The latest The Conjuring trailer was just released; check it out below.

This is a great Conjuring trailer. The addition of testimony from the real Perron family solidifies the scary. Or maybe I’m just a sucker for a good haunted house film (prognosis: positive).  This latest preview exudes creepiness and the end with Lili Taylor on the basement steps is a great jump scare moment. Here’s hoping that The Conjuring has a lot more in store (in other words, here’s praying all the money shots weren’t wasted in this latest marketing effort) when it hits theaters July 19th.
