While we’re still a couple of months away from the release of Captain America: Winter Soldier, the higher ups are evidently pleased with what they’re seeing so far.  While Winter Soldier directors Joe and Anthony Russo won’t officially enter negotiations until after the film’s release, they are now currently attached to return for Captain America 3.

Since the early buzz surrounding the film have been pretty positive so far this is certainly encouraging (if less than surprising).  No release date has been announced yet but I expect that will probably come at this year’s Comic-Con.  Considering Marvel has already reserved several summer release dates through 2017, I wouldn’t be surprised if they already have one in mind.

Of course, more important than the film’s would-be release date is what kind of story they will use.  At this point my best guess is another story involving HYDRA.  Thomas Kretschmann has been contracted to play HYDRA leader Baron von Strucker for multiple films and given Cap’s past run-ins with the organization, I think it would make sense and it could also open the door for Red Skull to return.

Do you think Marvel should make Captain America 3?  What kind of story line should they use?  Who should be the villain?  Give us your thoughts in the comment section below.
