CinemaCon featured a ton of amazing stuff for movie fans, but three movie posters that debuted there have me pretty excited. The CinemaCon posters debuting included Spike Lee’s Oldboy, horror sequel Insidious 2 and comic book adaptation R.I.P.D.
The Oldboy CinemaCon poster includes the mark off of the 20 years that our protagonist (Josh Brolin in this version) spent held captive. For those who know the original, it is a cool preview, although it probably leaves those who have no prior knowledge in the dark.
The Insidious 2 CinemaCon poster is pretty basic with just the words “Insidiou2” wrote horizontally and “Chapter 2” at the bottom. While I pretty much hate adding numbers instead of letters (except in Se7en), the poster isn’t horrible.
Finally, the R.I.P.D. CinemaCon poster is basically a very boring poster that is right up there with “floating heads,” although both Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds are standing in full profiles with their shiny guns. Don’t really like it, although I am excited about the movie.

I like how in the reflection for the Insidious 2 poster is a poster for The Conjuring
