Vincent D’Onofrio really knocked it out of the park when the took on the character of Wilson Fisk, Marvel’s Kingpin in the Netflix series Daredevil. While his casting seemed curious at first, he was the best choice possible and was a highlight of a very good Marvel series.
While Wilson Fisk is not supposed to be in the upcoming Defenders Netflix Marvel team-up series, there is still hope that Vincent D’Onofrio will return for another upcoming Netflix Marvel series as the Kingpin of Crime.
Collider interviewed Vincent D’Onofrio recently about his upcoming TV show Emerald City, a reimagining of The Wizard of Oz, where D’Onofrio plays the Wizard. During the interview, they spoke with Vincent about his role as Wilson Fisk on Daredevil and whether we would see the character again or not.
“He will, eventually. Honestly, I wish I knew ‘cause I could plan my year better. I know he will come back, I just don’t know when. I can’t wait to find out. I’m totally into the Marvel stuff, big time. I want to do Marvel, all the time. I love it so much ‘cause they’re so creative over there. They let you bring this whole new thing to an iconic thing that they invented. It’s just so much fun. I love it to death. I want to see Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman. There’s something about those movies. I dig the shit out of them. I’ve been tweeting back and forth with James Gunn, about doing something with him because I love Guardians of the Galaxy so much.“
