It is almost here. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes comes out less than one month from now and the war between the humans and apes finally gets underway. This Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer does a fantastic job of showing the scope and action of the movie and I am now 100% jacked to see this one up on the big screen.

It takes place 10 years after the last movie and the apes have not only built their own communities, but they have learned to all talk and they have pretty much mastered weapons. Not only that, but one ape in this movie shows that they have learned to be devious and manipulative as well.

However, what really impresses here is Caesar, who has retained his fondness for the human race while also finding enemies in his own race, who sees him as a danger because of his feelings. Gary Oldman is also fantastic in his role as the gung ho savior of the human race – something that fans of the series knows is destined to fail.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes hits theaters on July 11 and is directed by Mat Reeves.

A GROWING NATION OF GENETICALLY EVOLVED APES LED BY CAESAR IS THREATENED BY A BAND OF HUMAN SURVIVORS OF THE DEVASTATING VIRUS UNLEASHED A DECADE EARLIER.

THEY REACH A FRAGILE PEACE, BUT IT PROVES SHORT-LIVED, AS BOTH SIDES ARE BROUGHT TO THE BRINK OF A WAR THAT WILL DETERMINE WHO WILL EMERGE AS EARTH’S DOMINANT SPECIES.
