The Breakdown
A mysterious man (Marcus Daniels) asks a fisherman for a ride, upon the fisherman saying no that man turns off his car (by superpowers) and then places his hand on the man which kills him. The man drives off in the truck. Ward tells the team that HYRDA has taken over SHIELD and released every prisoner from the fridge and has stolen most of the equipment. Coulson wants to leave but the agent assigned to the base (Koening) will not let them until they go through a lie detector test that Fury personally built. Ward also told the team that he killed Garrett.
Coulson’s main target is Marcus Daniels, Daniel’s was subject to an experiment called Black force which gives him the power over energy off all kinds. At the base the team is being put through the lie detector test. On Ward’s turn his signals are spiking more than normal because he is lying. He clears the test by saying that he is there for Skye, when asked why is he still here if SHIELD has been labeled a terrorist organization. This is a half truth as Ward is there to kill the team and capture Skye.

Coulson splits up the team to go after Daniels. This displeases May as she has passes the lie detector and wants to go on the mission. Daniels is looking for a woman (Audrey) and comers her in a park. The team rescued the woman before Daniels can get his hands on her. Fitz tries to use the dwarf robots to stop Daniels but Daniels has become stronger and knocks out Phil and Fitz.
Skye wants to hack the NSA satellites to find out what happened at the fridge and to see where the prisoners of SHIELD are. Simmons and Triplet are talking to Audrey and find out that she was Phil’s love interest who thinks that he is still dead. Fitz asks Coulson if he should tell her and Coulson tells him no. Fitz also has a way to stop Daniels’ but needs to use Audrey, Coulson is against this as well. May feels that she is no good to the team because Coulson doesn’t trust her so she leaves. Skye has hacked into the NSA satellites and the clear feeds should be coming in soon. Ward locks the door to Koening office.

Fitz has a beam gun of some sort created by Bruce Banner that may be able to contain Daniel’s. Ward and Skye are in Koening’s office and have a moment of truth where Ward opens up to her about his brother. Skye and Ward also end up kissing and Skye feels blood coming from Ward. Ward tells her that it is one of his cuts, Skye tries to help him clean it up but Ward refuses. Audrey is playing the cello and Daniels enters the building. She plays frantically when she notices that he is in the same room with her.
Fitz, Triplet and Simmons use the beams on Daniels and it does not appear to be working. Daniels seems to be getting stronger. After Ward cleans himself off he has a rope in his hand and goes to look for Skye. Skye is wondering where Koening is and grabs the device that he tracked the team with. Skye goes to a broom closet and finds Koening dead. Coulson grabs one of the beams and shoots it toward Daniels. Triplet also uses his beam and Daniels blows up. Ward is in the halls calling for Skye.

Audrey is knocked out by the blast. Before she awakes Coulson tells her that he is there and will always watch over her. When she wakes up Simmons is there and Audrey swears that she heard Phil’s voice. Skye finally meets up with Ward. Ward tells her that the BUS is fixed and they need to leave now. Skye tries to get some of her things and Ward emphasizes that they need to leave now. On the plane ride back Phil feels that he needs to patch things up with May. On the BUS, Skye figures out that Ward needs her to decrypt the hard drive that has the spec to the plasma ray. Coulson and the team get back to find that the rest of the team is gone along with the BUS.
May is walking down the road in Canada where she is picked up by her mother. May asks if her mom got the information that she needed and her mom hands her an envelope. Her mother tells her that she is not the only one tracking this person and wants to know if she will kill her. May replies No. Her mother is thankful because she’s always like agent Maria Hill.

The Analysis
Finally agent Hill will be back on SHIELD, out of all of the people engaged in the MCU I’ve always thought Hill would have been a good surprise to be on this show more as How I meet you mother has ended. As far as the episode I am still wondering where is this going. Ward and Skye seem to be off doing good no what while the rest of the team is trying to pull the pieces together. I may have said this before but the downside to everything that happens in this show coupled with what happened in Caption America 2, may have us on a cliffhanger until 2015. SHIELD is in disarray, and even if this show is officially renewed for next season, can we even come to a resolution until the Avengers 2? I guess we will just have to wait and find out.
