WWE Wrestlemania 30
WWE Tag Team Championship: Four-Way Elimination Match
The Usos vs. The Real Americans vs. Rybaxel vs. Los Matadores
The Real Americans had an interesting tactic. Since this is an elimination match, they refused to get on the ring apron and stayed out of the action. There were a lot of “We the People” chants. The Real Americans finally got involved when a member of los Matadores was down, but they couldn’t get the pin.
There was a sillt point where everyone was down outside of the ring and Torito was about to fly when Curtis Axel stopped him. He then yelled it was his time and went up for something but the Matadores stopped him and launched him out to the floor. Quickly after that, Jack Swagger locked the Patriot Lock onto one of Los Matadores and the first elimination came.
The next fall came when one of the Usos had Jack Swagger stunned and Ryback tagged himself in. He tried to take out Swagger but Cesaro tagged himself in and hit the Superman punch and the Neutralizer for the pin.
All the fans chanted “We the People” so the Usos got them to chant “Usos” as well. The end to this match was fantastic tag team wrestling and the fans appreciated it, chanting “This is Awesome.” The end came when Cesaro and Swagger had a bump and The Usos hit the double splash on Cesaro for the win.
After the match, Swagger started yelling at Cesaro and then tried to lock in the Patriot Lock. Zeb Colter stopped him and forced them to shake hands, but Cesaro took down Swagger and hit the Big Swing as Colter was screaming NO. Cesar then yelled “We the People” and left on his own.
Winners: THE USOS (***)
Wrestlemania 30 opens with HULK HOGAN coming down to the ring with REAL AMERICAN blaring over the speakers. He talked about more Wreslemania moments happening and accidentally called The Superdome the Silverdome. tonight and STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN’S music kicked in! Stone Cold is at Wrestlemania 30!
For the first ever, Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan stood face to face and Austin made fun of Hogan for calling it the Silverdome. “If you want me to open up a can of whup ass on Hulk Hogan, say Hell Yeah!” – Fans – “Hell Yeah.” Austin shook hands with Hogan said he respects everything that Hulk Hogan has done for the business. Austin 3:16 says I just whupped your ass.
THE ROCK! Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock all in the ring at the same time! JBL: “The Mount Rushmore of Sports Entertainment.” The Rock and Austin slapped hands and hugged. Fans: “This is Awesome.” Rock made fun of Hogan for calling it the Silverdome. He then called Austin and Hogan the two biggest stars ever in the WWE.
The Rock compared John Cena to Hulk Hogan and Daniel Bryan to Steve Austin. He then took credit for so many babies being born nine months after he wrestled on a Wrestlemania card.
- It’s Boots to Asses Time, if you smell what the Rock is Cookin.
- And that’s the bottom line, cause Stone Cold says so.
- So What you gonna do when the Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and The Superdome runs wild on you.
Awesome! All three men chugged beers as they all got their music played.
Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan
First, there is a video promo about Daniel Bryan’s rise to the top of the WWE. After the promo, Stephanie McMahon is in the ring and she introduces Triple H. He got one of his legendary entrances, another of him on the throne with the crown, mask and robe on and smoke billowing around him – the King of Kings. Then it back to his old school Motorhead “Time to Play the Game” entrance music.
Daniel Bryan is out to a thunderous “YES YES YES!” Bryan’s shoulder is taped up from the attack two weeks ago. There are actually duel chants by the crowd. Triple H is just smirking while Daniel Bryan is aggressive. Triple H reached out to shake hands but Bryan kicked it and tried for a cradle.
Triple H went for a Pedigree on the announcer’s table at about the 7-minute mark but Bryan blocked it, only to get dropped onto the table anyway, trying to work on Bryan’s shoulder injury. Triple H went back in but Bryan made it back in at the nine count. After that, Triple H started punishing Bryan’s shoulder. He slammed Bryan’s shoulder onto the apron and went for another count out but Bryan made it back in at nine again.
Triple H actually tried to get Bryan to tap out to the Crippler Crossface on more than one occasion. This was a great match with Triple H working the shoulder while Bryan fought back hard kicks and knees and dives. This was a battle (fans: “This is Awesome”). Bryan went for the Running Knee and Triple H reversed into the Spinebuster and the Pedigree but DANIEL BRYAN KICKED OUT!
Triple H went for a second Pedigree but Bryan reversed it. He went for a third one, but Bryan dropped to his knees. Triple H went for another but Daniel Bryan reversed out. He missed a high knee, Triple H hit a back drop, but Bryan landed on his feet and hit the High Knee and pinned Triple H!
After the match, Stephanie McMahon went in and slapped Daniel Bryan. Then Triple H attacked him from behind and smashed his shoulder with another chair shot. The match lasted about 25 minutes.
Winner: DANIEL BRYAN (****)
The Shield vs. Kane and The New Age Outlaws
The New Age Outlaws came out first. Road Dogg was starting his mic schtic but The Shield’s music started while he was talking. The Shield all came out wearing skull bandannas over their mouths.
Holy cow! The match lasted three minutes and The Shield dominated the entire match. The end came when Roman Reigns speared Kane and then hit a spear on teh Outlaws at the same time, and then The Shield hit the triple powerbomb on Billy Gunn and Road Dogg at the same time.
Winners: THE SHIELD (***)
Up next, Jim Duggan, Sgt. Slaughter, Dangerous Danny Davis, Ricky Steamboat, The Million Dollar Man and Ron Simmons got a backstage comedy segment.
30 Man Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Only Big Show and Sheamus got their own entrances. Like all regular battle royals, this wasn’t fun to watch until a lot of people were eliminated. Khali was one of the first men eliminated. Big Show actually eliminated Mark Henry early in the match.
Santino eliminated The Miz with the Cobra. Fandango eliminated Big E and the entire audience started Fandangoing. Just realized Cesaro is in the battle royal, despite being in the tag title match earlier. Cesaro caught Rey Mysterio when he attempted the 6:19 and then hit the superman punch to eliminate him. Kofi Kingston was thrown out but kept his feet off the ground and hopped on his back to get back in the ring.
Final 6: Big Show, Cesaro, Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio.
Cesaro did an almost 30 rotation swing on Kingston. Sheamus got rid of Kingston. Del Rio eliminated Dolph Ziggler. Del Rio and Sheamus eliminated each other. HOLY CRAP! CESARO picked up Big Show and throws him over the ropes and out of the ring! The end made this a huge Wrestlemania moment!
Winner: CESARO (***)
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt
They start with the video package where Bray Wyatt calls John Cena a phony and Cena said he will fight for his legacy. Then, there is a live voodoo styled dance number on the stage with a woman and trashcans with fire burning in them. This is all for Bray Wyatt as a live band plays him out to the ring. Nice, they pulled out all the stops for Bray Wyatt. John Cena gets his regular entrance.
The match started with Bray Wyatt dropping to his knees and told John Cena to give the fans what they wanted and to finish him. John told him to get up and wouldn’t play that game. Duel chants.
Bray Wyatt dominated the first few minutes while mocking John Cena. After that, Cena just lost it and started brawling and beating on Bray while Wyatt just laughed about it. Cena started punching and kicking and choking Bray, while Wyatt yelled that Cena is the monster and Luke Harper laughed at ringside.
The first 10 minutes of this match sucked but then when John Cena went for the 5-Knuckle Shuffle and then saw Bray Wyatt arched up in the spider pose, Cena freaked out and one awesome moment happened. Cena had the top rope Fameasser blocked into a powerbomb as well. That was 2 Cena signature moves blocked.
The fans at ringside all started singing and waving their hands along with Bray Wyatt. Wow. Cena went up top but instead of hitting Bray Wyatt, he hit a flying bodypress onto Harper and Rowan outside of the ring. The two started brawling around ringside. Cena started to use the steel steps, but then chose not to go down that road.
Back in the ring, Bray hit his shoulder tackle and then started to sing “You’ve got the Whole World” while holding Cena’s head. He missed Sister Abigail and Cena hit the AA but Wyatt kicked out. Luke Harper interfered and Wyatt hit a splash for two. Wyatt threw Cena from the ring. Harper stood back and did nothing but Cena hit the spear through the ringside timekeeper’s box. Wyatt smiled at that.
Wyatt went for Sister Abigail’s Kiss but Cena reversed it into the STF. Wyatt made the ropes. Wyatt then hit Sister Abigail out of nowhere but Cena kicked out. Bray Wyatt brought in a steel chair and tossed it to Cena while the crowd sang Wyatt’s song. Cena hit Rowan with the chair. Bray went for Sister Abigail again but Cena reversed into the Attitude Adjustment.
The first half of the match sucked and the second half was better, but the story of Cena staying pure for his legacy was the point of the match and it honestly caused this match to be slightly boring, which is not good for a 22 minute match.
Winner: JOHN CENA (**)
Next up is a recap of last night’s 2014 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. Then all the inductees came out to wave to the audience. The Ultimate Warrior got his entrance music to walk out to at the end of the segment.
The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
The video montage was about The Undertaker’s streak and who all he beat. Then, we get Paul Heyman talking about Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar is out first with Paul Heyman. Undertaker gets an entrance video that shows caskets with the names of everyone he beat on them and the last one with Brock Lesnar’s name on it. Typical Undertaker entrance with no Druids.
The match saw Undertaker hit a couple of his signature moves early in the match. Brock Lesnar fought back and started working on taking out Undertaker’s legs. The two fought a hard hitting, but slow match. Undertaker kicked out of the F-5 later in the match. Undertaker actually locked Lesnar in the Hell’s Gate, but Lesnar somehow managed to pick up Undertaker and slam him down to break the hold. Undertaker locked it in again and Lesnar again picked up Taker and slammed him down again.
Lesnar then locks in the Kimona Lock on Undertaker (same move that broke Triple H’s arm) but Undertaker reverses it and has it locked in on Lesnar. Undertaker went for Old School, but Lesnar lifted him onto his shoulders and hit a second F-5, which Undertaker again kicked out of it. Lesnar was on the second buckle, pounding on Undertaker and Taker lifted him up and hit the Last Ride. He then hit the Tombstone and Lesnar kicked out.
Undertaker did his legendary sitting up, rising from the dead. He went for the tombstone, but Lesnar reversed out of it by lifting up Undertaker and hitting the F-5 and then he pinned The Undertaker. The fans are in complete shock. Holy crap. There are very few boos, just silence and shock.
21-1.
The fans chant for Undertaker after Brock Lesnar was gone. Even JBL joined the standing ovation.
Winner: BROCK LESNAR (**)
Vickie Guerrero Diva’s Invitational
This match is for AJ Lee’s Diva’s title and almost all the Divas are involved. This is just a one-fall match, whoever gets the first pin wins. This is also going to be Vickie Guerrero’s final WWE appearance.
Blah blah blah, stuff happens and then Nikki Bella actually hit Brie Bella with the Shock Treatment, but the pin was interrupted. Natalya, Aksana and Alicia Fox actually pulled off the powerbomb, superplex move from the top buckle. AJ Lee is AWESOME. She locked in the Black Widow on Naomi and then, while the referee was on the other side, AJ Lee grabbed Naomi’s hand and tapped out for her, which was genius.
Winner: AJ LEE (* 1/2)
Mean Gene Okerlund is backstage and brings in Hulk Hogan for an interview, but Rowdy Roddy Piper and Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff show up. Piper starts to talk crap to Hogan and then said it always bothers Orndorff. Orndorff said it does bother him, but if he had a better partner, but Piper said he has him backing him up now. Then Mr. T shows up. Then Pat Patterson (who was the referee) shows up Hogan demands to bury the hatchet and reaches out. Piper grabs Orndorff’s hand and makes them shake. Then Mr. T reaches out and Piper is going nuts. He finally shakes Mr. T’s hand and the two hug.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship No Disqualification Match
Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. Daniel Bryan
Bruno Sammartino, Harley Race, Bob Backlund, Dusty Rhodes and Bret Hart are at ringside. Randy Orton gets his intro sang live as he comes to the ring. Batista was in second and Bryan in third.
They attacked Daniel Bryan early and tossed him out of the ring early, so it was Orton vs. Batista for the first portion of the match. When Bryan got back in the ring and started delivering kicks, the fans went nuts, but it didn’t last.
When Daniel Bryan had Randy Orton trapped in the YES Lock, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon ran in and pulled out the referee. Then Triple H called in a new referee Scott Armstrong (from one of last year’s screw jobs). He didn’t do a fast count when Batista tried to pin Bryan and that made Triple H mad. Bryan then kicked Scott Armstrong in the head. Bryan then took out Triple H, Scott Armstrong and Stephanie McMahon with a suicide dive.
Triple H grabbed the sledgehammer. Bryan took out Triple H with the sledgehammer and almost pinned Batista. After that, Batista and Randy Orton started working together on taking out Daniel Bryan. Officials had to help Triple H and Stephanie to the back (fans: “Na na na, hey hey hey, good bye).
Batista and Randy Orton decided to work together and broke apart the announcer’s tables (both Spanish and the main one). Holy crap! Batista picked up Orton for a Batista Bomb and threw him to Randy Orton who hit the RKO as Bryan fell through the table. That was awesome. A stretcher is on the way to the ring.
Batista and Randy Orton started fighting again as the officials put Bryan on the stretcher and wheeled him out. Orton did his hanging DDT onto the floor! As they fought, Daniel Bryan forced his way off the stretcher and started crawling to the ring. Orton threw Bryan into the steps and then into the ring. Bryan blocked the RKO into a YES Lock. Batista with the save but then Bryan locked Batista in the YES Lock. Orton with the save.
Batista blocked Randy Orton’s RKO, accidentally speared Daniel Bryan and then Orton hit the RKO. Batista kicked out at two. Orton went for the Concussion Kick on Batista but Bryan hit the High Knee. Batista knocked Orton out of the ring and then tried to pin Orton, but only got a two count.
Batista hit the Batista Bomb on Randy Orton but then Daniel Bryan ran in and hit the High Knee and then slapped on the YES Lock and BATISTA TAPPED OUT!!! What a finish and an amazing match!
Winner: DANIEL BRYAN (*****)
