The 20th ANNUAL SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS announced their nominations today, and while there are a lot of solid choices here, there are some disappointments.

Right off the top, it is still discouraging for me to see Scarlet Johannson ignored for her performance in Her. The Golden Globes disqualified her and now the SAG turned her away as well, which makes it a lock that the Oscars will pass her over as well. She deserved it possibly more than one or two of the choices made here.

I would also like to have seen someone like Hugh Jackman get nominated for Prisoners rather than Forest Whitaker for The Butler, while on the other side – as an Oklahoman – it was nice to see August: Osage County get some nice nominations. While these are actors getting nominated, it really should make the local filmmakers here who helped work on the project feel good.

Also, does anyone else think Fast & Furious 6 will win Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture just to honor Paul Walker?
