While appearing on The Tonight Show Tuesday night, director Quentin Tarantino talked briefly about his plans for his next film.  He stated that he plans for his next movie to be another western but that it won’t be a sequel to Django Unchained.  I guess we’re just going to have to keep waiting for Kill Bill Vol. 3.

I had to chuckle a little bit when Tarantino insisted this western wouldn’t be a sequel to Django since he has already admitted that most of his movies are loosely connected to each other.  This includes the fact that Mr. Blonde from Reservoir Dogs and Vincent Vega from Pulp Fiction are actually brothers.  So while I don’t doubt that Tarantino was telling the truth about not making a sequel to Django, it really wouldn’t surprise me if the two movies ended up being at least a little connected as well.

While I’ll admit that Django Unchained isn’t my favorite Tarantino movie, I am interested to see how he does with a western the second time around.  Of course, to be fair, Tarantino’s name attached to anything pretty much has a way of piquing my interest.  Unfortunately, since he has a track record of taking several years between pictures, it’s likely that we still have quite a bit of waiting to do before he finishes his next project.

Should Tarantino make another western?  Would you want to actually see a sequel to Django Unchained?  Do you think we’ll ever see Kill Bill Vol. 3?  Give us your thoughts in the comment section below.
