I’ve always been a fan of the Jackass films, and felt that each one surpassed the previous. With the death of the Random Hero, Ryan Dunn, I assumed we probably wouldn’t see another Jackass film for quite a while, if ever. Well, today is the day we see what they’ve been planning since we last saw them in 3D with this Bad Grandpa trailer.
Bad Grandpa takes one of Johnny Knoxville’s more popular skits and is turning it into a full length feature. I truly doubt that anyone reading this doesn’t know the premise of the skit, but for those that don’t, a brief synopsis; Johnny, with help of a crack make-up efx team, ages himself near the point of death, then proceeds to do things you wouldn’t see a man his age doing. Such as making out with his granddaughter, or flagrantly trying to steal things. Today we get the Bad Grandpa trailer for the full length feature.
Paramount released the trailer along with this:
86-year-old Irving Zisman is on a journey across America with the most unlikely companions, his 8 year-old Grandson Billy in “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa”. This October, the signature Jackass character Irving Zisman (Johnny Knoxville) and Billy (Jackson Nicholl) will take movie audiences along for the most insane hidden camera road trip ever captured on camera.
Along the way Irving will introduce the young and impressionable Billy to people, places and situations that give new meaning to the term childrearing. The duo will encounter male strippers, disgruntled child beauty pageant contestants (and their equally disgruntled mothers), funeral home mourners, biker bar patrons and a whole lot of unsuspecting citizens.
Real people in unreal situations, making for one really messed up comedy.
