Two big blockbusters came out this week, looking to topple The Lego Movie from its tower high over the Weekend Box Office world. While Pompeii had some impressive volcanoes and 3 Days to Kill had some really fun action, they didn’t catch movie goers attention as audiences just kept flocking to see The Lego Movie and ignored the rest.

The Lego Movie brought in $31.4 million in its third weekend, the second highest third weekend for an animated movie after Shrek 2. Meanwhile, 3 Days to Kill made $12.3 million and Pompeii was a huge disappointment at only $10 million, making it look like audiences are not that interested in big budget spectacle movies yet this year.

A good CinemaScore means that word of mouth should help 3 Days to Kill in the coming weeks, and while Pompeii was a flop, it did better than both The Legend of Hercules and I, Frankenstein, for what that is worth.
