Sterling Gates, the comic book writer who has worked on Green Lantern, Supergirl, War of Supermen, and now Vibe, will be appearing at Speeding Bullet Comics in Norman, OK, to meet fans on Saturday, June 15, from 4:30-6:30. This is not only a homecoming for Gates, but also promotion for a movie he has worked on called The Posthuman Project.

Before he made his way to DC Comics, Gates attended the University of Oklahoma and worked at Speeding Bullet Comics while attending OU. Since then, he has kept in contact with his old boss, and Speeding Bullet Comics owner, Matthew Price. When Price began working on a new movie project called The Posthuman Project, he called Gates.

Gates helped out director Kyle Roberts with the script and at the meet-and-greet on Saturday, he will be presenting his comic book tie-in for the movie, The Posthuman Project #0. Also available at the store will be his other comics, including War of Supermen and Last Stand of Krypton. Gates also recently wrote an online comic book tie-in to Man of Steel with David Goyer.

The Posthuman Project is about teenagers who receive a genetic boost of super abilities. Director Kyle Roberts describes it as a superhero movie in the John Hughes universe.  The film stars Kyle Whalen, Lindsay Sawyer, Alex Harris, Collin Place, Josh Bonzie and Rett Terrell. For more information about The Posthuman Project, visit posthumanmovie.com.
