It was just a matter of time that Marvel would release its first big screen animated movie. Since joining with Disney, who not only remains the most important animated studio in the world but also owns the most prestigious in Pixar, a Marvel animated film was just natural. That movie is coming this year in Big Hero 6.
The fact that Marvel chose a lesser named property to make its leap into animated theatrical films was a slight surprise, but if you are bringing in the kids, you don’t really need a Captain America or Thor and this gives Marvel a chance to see if they can bring lesser known characters to a new audience.
The first trailer for Big Hero 6 had nothing to do with what the movie was about and instead just gave fans a cute and very charming first look at the young child inventor and his robot companion. Well, Marvel is now giving us some more information, including the Big Hero 6 cast of voice actors.
30 Rock’s Scott Adsit voices the robot Baymax, Ryan Potter (Supah Ninjas) voices young inventor Hiro Hamada, T.J. Miller voices Fred, Jamie Chung voices Tomago, Genesis Rodriguez voices Honey Lemon and Damon Wayans Jr. voices Wasabi.
Other cast members include Maya Rudolph as Aunt Cass, James Cromwell as Professor Callaghan, Daniel Henney as Tadashi Hamada and Alan Tudyk as Alistair Krei.
