This week many DC rumors and reports surfaced about the schedule of the DC Universe line-up. It all started when NikkiFinke.com went live and she dropped a mondo exclusive that I’m sure pissed off the likes of Deadline.

According to her source, WB and DC plan to unveil the following superhero film line-up as follows:

May 2016 – Batman v Superman
July 2016 – Shazam
Xmas 2016 – Sandman
May 2017 – Justice League
July 2017 – Wonder Woman
Xmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2

None of this has been confirmed but definitely a schedule that can only be described as… ambitious? This means WB and DC plan to have six films released over the course of 2 years, all hinging on the success of Batman V. Superman. I’m not trying to call bullsh*t, but… bullsh*t.

Now, that doesn’t mean all these films are not in the works. I just don’t have faith in this schedule.

Adding to the rumored schedule, LatinoReview has chimed in on when we might see the first Ben Affleck solo film. According to their sources, that film– possibly titled THE BATMAN– is being eyed for a 2019 release. This gives Ben Affleck time to finish his gangster project Live by Night to start filming Batman around 2017 or 2018. This seems like a highly probable situation, and one that could lead to him directing the film himself– Hell yeah!

Regardless of what you think, a DC Universe is coming and will happen. Will it be as good as Marvel? At this point, it’s hard to say, but looking at these new DC rumors, it’s nice to know WB finally has a plan. Debate the potential of these films all you want, but until Batman V. Superman drops, we really have no idea what WB has in store.

What do you think of the rumored DC schedule?
