I never thought thought I would say this but a Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil sequel is now in the works. Stars Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine recently announced at the convention HorrorHound in Cincinnati, that they have been contacted by the film’s producers and that a sequel is currently in the works.
According to Tudyk and Labine they were recently contacted by the producers and were told that they have written an outline and are currently searching for a screenwriter.
If those of you reading find this to be surprising, I don’t blame you. I certainly didn’t see this coming, and by Tudyk and Labine’s own admission they didn’t either. The first film received a pretty limited theatrical release back in 2011 and even though it has achieved a well deserved cult status since then, there was really no indication until now that a sequel was going to get made.
I could not be more excited about this and it’s now actually giving me the urge to watch the first Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil again. For those of you that haven’t seen it, I strongly recommend you to do so as soon as possible and it is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
For those of you that have seen it, are you excited for the sequel? What kind of hi-jinks do you think will be in store for Tucker and Dale? Give us your thoughts in the comment section below.
