A Marvel Universe documentary is coming to ABC Television that will chart the rise of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. ABC already televises the Marvel Universe television show Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, a show much better than people let on. The new Marvel Universe documentary will be called Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe.

The documentary will be a one-hour primetime special and will air on March 18 at 8 p.m. in the same timeslot that Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD normally airs.

The new Marvel Universe documentary will tell the story behind Marvel Studios and the franchise and the world they have built, which started with Iron Man and followed through The Avengers, and this year Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy. ABC promises that filmmakers, actors and fans will all be interviewed for the documentary.

Another big selling point of the new Marvel Universe documentary is that it will give a sneak peak at the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie that hits theaters in 2015 and marks the conclusion of Marvel Phase 2. This will be the first look at the film since the logo was shown at Comic-Con last year.

Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe airs Tuesday, March 18 at 8pm on ABC. Are you excited about the new look at Marvel’s movies? We are now accepting either Disquis or Facebook comments, so just chime in with whichever format you prefer!
