There have been a lot of Star Wars Episode VII rumors circulating, and the biggest ones concerning the story indicated that the movie would be about the children of Han, Leia and Luke and would then travel through their adventures in the universe. Another rumor was that Harrison Ford would only return if he played an important role in the film. It sounds like both rumors had tinges of truth to them.
According to new Star Wars Episode VII rumors, the movie was originally about the kids, when Michael Arndt was the writer. However, ever since JJ Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan took over screenwriting for the movie, things have changed.
Now, Star Wars Episode VII will be about Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. Their kids will be introduced in the storyline and will take over the leadership as the franchise rolls on, but this first movie hitting in 2015 will be about the characters that we grew to love in the beginning.
The Star Wars prequels biggest problems was putting too much emphasis on plot and not even on the characters. There was no one in those movies that fans cared about as much as the Holy Trinity of the first trilogy. For those fans, it is time to bring back the characters that made us Fan Boys in the first place.
There has also been some Star Wars Episode VII rumors when it comes to casting. Adam Driver (Inside Llewyn Davis) and Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class) have met with the filmmakers, Chiwetel Ejiofof (12 Years a Slave) teased that fans will just have to wait and see if he will appear in it, and Hugo Weaving (Matrix, Lord of the Rings) is pretty much set as an Imperial Commander.
