The Fast & Furious 7 release date has been announced, and it was Vin Diesel who spring the news on his fans of his Facebook page. The release date will be April 10, 2015 – another huge release in an already jam packed year for blockbusters.
Vin Diesel released a behind-the-scenes photo of him and Paul Walker along with the following statement:
The last scene we filmed together…
There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…
Fast and Furious 7 will be released…
April 10th 2015!

The release date was in question because it wasn’t clear whether they would shoot around Walker’s death or scrap everything and start over. Since the original release date was set for July 2014, the nine month delay makes it sound like there will be some major re-shoots.
April 2015 is actually a good choice for the Fast & Furious 7 release date. It is a few weeks before Avengers: Age of Ultron starts the onslaught of blockbusters, so it should do well before fans get a blockbuster overload. It will almost definitely be a huge box office draw, as the last two Fast & Furious movies have been huge draws and fans of the franchise will want to see how they pay respect to Paul Walker.
