The first 22 Jump Street red-band trailer has hit the Internet, and since it is red-band, you can be assured it is NSFW. There are quite a few dirty jokes, some crude language and sexual innuendo. It is also quite hilarious. Check it out and then come back for our thoughts.
21 Jump Street was one of the most surprising movies of 2012, a rare case of an old TV show getting an adaptation into a movie that was both funny and surprisingly good. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill were a perfect combination for the film and Johnny Depp’s cameo was brilliant.
Of course, Depp can’t be back for the sequel, but the duo of Tatum and Hill is all that is really needed to bring back most of the fun from the first movie. This time, they are being sent to college, something that really excites Tatum’s Jenko.
It looks like pretty much the same story as the first, as they are sent in to find drug dealers, and the film seems to include the same in-jokes that the first one did about remaking a former TV show, this time talking about making a second movie for the same material. One of the highlights came at the end with Rob Riggle and Dave Franco reviving their characters from the first movie.
