New Line is reportedly close to finalizing a deal with Christoph Waltz to star in the Horrible Bosses sequel. He will be part of a father-son duo of new bosses along with Chris Pine. It also appears that they have also been able to convince Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey to reprise their roles as well. New Line has also announced their plans to release the comedy November 28, 2014.
I for one loved the first Horrible Bosses and am very excited to see how the sequel turns out. I’m also interested to see how Waltz and Pine will play off each other.
The more that I think about it, I can definitely see both of them making the kind the bosses that would fit right in this movie. Waltz has a gift of playing psychotic and sadistic characters (not unlike Spacey’s character in the first movie) and Pine would be perfect to play the entitled douche bag boss that makes his subordinates do his work for him (there’s a good chance you’ve worked for that guy before). Since Colin Farrell won’t be back for the sequel, my guess is Waltz and Pine will take his place as Jason Sudekis’s boss but that is purely a guess on my part.
