This weekend production kicked off for Man of Steel 2, also widely known as Batman Vs. Superman. Even though the mayhem has just begun, buzz is already circling that the Amazonian superhero Wonder Woman will make an appearance in the film. That’s right Renegades! We may finally get to see her on the big-screen in 2015!
Variety started the speculation with an interview with Greg Silverman, who is the President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production at Warner Brothers. When asked about whether Batman Vs. Superman includes famous Justice League members in the new film, such as The Flash, Wonder Woman, or Aquaman, Silverman says:
“We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters and we love them,” Silverman said. “Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it’s a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero.”
There is a bit of juicy dialogue going on here. If you think about it, he didn’t have to say anything yet he threw out Wonder Woman’s name. Well, it obviously struck the interview as a hint as well, and pushed further if Wonder Woman is actually in the movie, to which Silverman explains:
“We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters and we love them,” Silverman said. “Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it’s a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero.”
It’s a politicians way of answering but notice how he doesn’t say “no” to the question. If she is in the movie, it’s about damn time Warner Brothers gathered the balls to put her on the large screen. Now, here is the real question… Who should play Wonder Woman? Shout me your casting choices below!
