Riddick came out on top this weekend to the tune of approximately $18.7M at the box office. Lee Daniels’ The Butler continues to hang on, grabbing the number two position of the weekend and pushing its cumulative earnings north of $91M. Here’s the rest of the weekend top ten. Next weekend’s big releases include Insidious: Chapter 2 and The Family. The first film is the followup to the surprise horror smash of 2010 directed by James Wan (Saw, The Conjuring) starring Patrick Wilson (also of The Conjuring) and Rose Byrne. The Family looks to be a smashing good tale of familial mob ties starring Robert DeNiro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tommy Lee Jones and Dianna Argon. This Renegade Reporter will be option for a spooky time at the movies, but will also be looking forward to a Family matinee at some point. How about you?
