“Korean Jesus ain’t got time for yo’ problems”

Ice Cube may have played a minor role in the comedy 21 Jump Street, but the few moments he did have in the film were nothing short of hysterical. Well, luckily his character Captain Dickinson is returning in the next film and Cube has officially signed to reprise the role.

THR broke the news, saying that the rapper finally closed the deal to star in the sequel alongside Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Original directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller are also expected to return to deliver the sequel this Summer. Nothing is yet known about other cast members except that Wyatt Russell (Son of Kurt Russell) is also attached in a supporting role.

Ice Cube was insanely hilarious in the first movie executing an extreme version of a stereotypical pissed off Captain. Now, that the story is probably heading to college, I cannot wait to see the angry one-liners Cube has up his sleeve for the next film. For those who need a reminder of the awesomeness, I provided a clip of Cube’s first appearance in the original film. If you’ve seen the movie, you and I both know it’s worth revisiting. Warning… Hilarious vulgarity follows!
