When I’m asked what my favorite TV drama is, there are a lot of familiar faces that come up; Breaking Bad, True Blood, and Dexter. However, in the end, I always end up choosing Kurt Sutter’s Sons of Anarchy. A fantastic piece of work that’s gritty enough to be used as sandpaper. At Comic-Con 2013, the cast got together to talk about a variety of things; the previous season, up-coming graphic novels, and where the show is headed.
One thing seemed sure, and that was everyone was somber in tone towards the last season, and with good reason. Season 5 was one of the toughest, gutsiest seasons of any TV show that I’ve ever seen. Sutter & cast went all out with each episode, and had you dreading when the Reaper logo would come up, because you knew you were going to have to wait 7 more damn days to get another episode. In regards to the end, we all know it’s been no secret that Sutter wanted the series to run for 7 seasons. As we’re entering the 6th, questions came up about how the show will finish and Kurt could assure us that it would be one thing, “a pool of blood”. As for the upcoming season, it appears you could describe it in one word; “aftermath”.
Look for Sons of Anarchy to continue on FX come September. For those that haven’t seen it, you need to correct that mistake with the quickness.
