Gotta give it up for Hugh Jackman…the man will just not quit when it comes to the Wolverine character. Of course, when it comes to the X-Men films he’s always been right on the mark (in this Renegade Reporter’s eyes, at least) and can be forgiven for the abomination that was Origins. Jackman as Wolvie is coming our way again in just a few weeks, and an extended fight scene clip sporting some serious action atop a bullet train has just been released. Check it out below.

Pretty impressive. Jackman has earned a ton of goodwill as the character as mentioned above; here’s hoping this time around we’re in store for something a little more compelling than the first stab at a standalone feature. The Wolverine hits U.S. theaters on July 26 and stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamoto and Hiroyuki Sanada.
Based on the celebrated comic book arc by Chris Claremont, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider Wolverine, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past and ends up in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.
