Starz is starting promotion of their upcoming television series Ash vs. Evil Dead, which is produced by Sam Raimi with Bruce Campbell reprising his role as Ash Williams. This TV show will be basically a short season that should comprise one complete story, sort of like True Detective was originally for HBO.
If it gets monster ratings, who knows what could happen next.
In Ash vs. Evil Dead, the story picks up years later (they are going with teh theatrical ending of Army of Darkness, where Ash actually makes it back to his proper time and not the end where he goes to a future apocalyptic era). Ash is suffering from PTSD from fighting Deadittes for so long and ends up locked in battle with them again, alongside a coworker who idolizes him and a reluctant female with a secret.
There will be 10 half hour episodes and it will debut later this year.
Anyway, Starz has released an Ash vs. Evil Dead graphic teaser. There is nothing there when it comes to footage and is just the logo and some artwork, basically the same as the poster they just released. Check out the teaser below and let us know what you think.
