This Isn’t Looking Like the Fantastic Four

I know D-Rock has no problems with Michel B. Jordan as The Human Torch in the new Fantastic Four cast, but I do have a problem with it. My problem has nothing to do with “race problems” but from the fact that I don’t like them changing things like the fact that Sue and Johnny are supposed to be blood siblings. This may not mean much to some people, but it changes their characters from what they were in the comics.

I joked that they might as well cast Cameron Diaz to play Reed Richards.

Of course, I had no problem with The Mandarin twist while others hated it, but that is the problem. I had no problem with that but have a problem with this. People who hated Marvel changing The Mandarin have no problem with Fox changing Johnny Storm.

I know its different and I don’t care.

Here is another problem. Miles Teller is in talks to play Reed Richards. Now, I love Miles Teller and thought he was spectacular in The Spectacular Now. But, honestly, he is NOT Reed Richards.

I guess I don’t have a problem with Michael B. Jordan in the Fantastic Four cast now since they are obviously not making the characters in this movie based on the comic book characters outside of their powers. Hell, they might as well cast Rihanna to play The Thing.
