A new Captain America poster just hit and it shows Cap’s shield in a bit of disarray. The word about Captain America: The Winter Soldier is that it will be grounded more than most of Marvel’s other films, a more spy-espionage thriller that sees Cap face off with his old friend and ally Bucky Barnes, who happens to be the Winter Soldier of the title.
Yes, he supposedly died in the first movie, but to say any more would be spoiling the story for anyone who doesn’t read comics.
Also appearing in the new Captain America movie is a new superhero called The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), a man who served as Cap’s partner for many years in the comics and is a part of the recent Avengers television cartoon iterations. Black Widow will also be appearing in the movie as evil within S.H.I.E.L.D. threatens Captain America and Nick Fury as well. Robert Redford makes his debut in the Marvel Universe as a major player in the spy organization.
It makes you wonder if the beat up shield might be a play on words since the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization might be in disarray as well in this movie.
