A second villain has been added to the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, as Marvel is casting someone to play Baron Von Strucker, the leader of HYDRA. But, before people start questioning the addition to a villain despite the presence of the very powerful Ultron, there is nothing to worry about.
Comparing the next Avengers movie to something like James Bond, Baron Von Strucker and HYDRA is who The Avengers will be battling when the movie starts and will not stick around for the rest of the movie. However, those early movie scenes with Baron Von Strucker plays an important role in the rest of the film.
Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will be working with HYDRA in the beginning, but something will happen and they will end up with The Avengers after the battle. One of the main themes in Avengers: Age of Ultron will be whether or not The Avengers can trust the brother and sister duo.
So, who is Baron Von Strucker?
Baron Von Strucker is a former Nazi officer and one of the leaders of HYDRA, who also happens to be ageless. He has seemingly died in the past, but has always returned. With HYDRA the main villains seemingly behind Winter Soldier’s emergence in the next Captain America movie, this should be how those two movies tie together.
Martin Csokas and Dougray Scott are both rumored to be in consideration for the Baron Von Strucker role in Avengers: Age of Ultron. What are your thoughts about The Baron being added to the upcoming Avengers sequel? Chime in below.
