Ever since last year, many whispers have questioned the possibility of a spin-off of the acclaimed series Breaking Bad. One of which involved either a prequel/sequel of the character played by Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman. Well, the sketchy lawyer has now been confirmed to get his very own show soon as Breaking Bad throws in the towel.
Deadline says Sony and AMC have greenlit an hour-long prequel possibly titled Better Call Saul, however, this is not confirmed as of yet. Soon as the deal is sealed with Odenkirk, the series will get a quick order from the television network.
So, if it’s a prequel to the events of Breaking Bad, does this mean Saul doesn’t survive the series? I’ve been wondering this since last week when Saul Goodman showed up wearing a pink shirt in the episode To Hajilee. As most people may or may not be familiar with, the color pink is commonly connected to death in the show.
Also, with it being a prequel this opens the door to bringing back old characters, such as Gus Fring, Mike Ehrmantraut, and possibly others. I don’t know about you, but I’d love to see Mike return if possible.
What do you think? Are you willing to watch a Breaking Bad Spin-Off?
