Has the “Iron Man 3” Post Credits Video Been Revealed?

Slashfilm has updated that Latino Review has given a report from the Paris debut of Iron Man 3. Among the details are confirmation of what the Iron Man 3 post credits video is.

You have every chance in the world to not read this post. Only read forward if you actively don’t want to wait for the theatrical release. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILEDREAD NO FURTHER.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Okay, if you’re still here. This is what the video details.

It starts with a close shot of Tony Stark on a couch talking about his various traumas, obviously he’s talking to someone, as if he was seeing a shrink, the tone of the scene is light and supposedly funny. Then we discover that the person he’s talking to is Bruce Banner/Mark Ruffalo, who fell asleep because of Tony’s boring story. Tony remarks that Banner has been sleeping during the most part of his story and yells at him, and Banner just mumbles and says “You know, I’m not that kind of doctor!” Then Tony recalls another memory and resumes his monologue, and then we see Banner starting to fall asleep again.

Now compared to the rumors of Iron Man flying off into space to meet the Guardians of the Galaxy, or maybe meeting Ant-Man, this sounds very anti-climactic. Instead of the jaw-dropping, pants-wetting spectacle of seeing Nick Fury arrive at Tony Stark’s home and talk about the Avenger Initiative at the end of Iron Man, we get more of the funny stuff like the shawarma joint at the end of The Avengers.

On the positive side, this means that we’ll get to see more of Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner. Ruffalo’s performance became a respected part of last summer’s Avengers outing, and it’ll be great to see more of him. This scene sounds funny, but I think some fans have the opportunity to feel disappointed about the details here. However, we don’t know yet if this Iron Man 3 post credits spoiler is the mid-credits video, or the one at the very end of the credits. We can always hope for more when it hits here in May.
