Ryan Reynolds is giving comic book movies another shot with his Deadpool movie, based in the Fox X-Men universe. The movie hits theaters one year from today and Reynolds just teased the Deadpool costume from the movie as production starts on the big comic book adaptation.

Oh yeah, that mask – even just seeing half of it – is really exciting. The last time movie fans saw Deadpool, it was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. For at least the first quarter of that movie, Reynolds was pretty spot on when it came to Deadpool’s personality and attitude. Then the movie took Deadpool and flushed him right down the toilet, sewing his mouth shut and making him a completely different character.
That is the number one, most unforgivable, sin from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Well, Reynolds seems really excited this time around, saying that the movie has a lower budget than other superhero movies, meaning they can do more. Hopefully, this means a more sarcastic tone and some real violence – you know, what Deadpool is all about.
Anyway, this is just very, very cool and there is just one more year to wait on the revival of Deadpool to help us forget X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Blade: Trinity and The Green Lantern.
