WWE Monday Night Raw Recap: 11.03.14

WWE Monday Night Raw

WWE Monday Night Raw opens with VINCE MCMAHON coming out to the ring with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. He is out there pimping the WWE Network. He then talks about beating the U.S. Government, Ted Turner and WCW, and God. McMahon then drops the bomb. If Team Authority loses to Team Cena at the Survivor Series then they are no longer The Authority and are no longer in charge. Stephanie McMahon looks shocked. Triple H tries to hold the ropes for McMahon to leave at the end but McMahon ignores it. Then Dean Ambrose’s music hits and he comes out. McMahon shakes his hand, both men have huge smiles and then McMahon leaves and Triple H storms to the back looking angry. Backstage, they see McMahon off and then after Triple H asks what that was about and Stephanie said they will have to figure this out.

The first match is Dean Ambrose vs. Cesaro. The two are actually fighting a competitive match this time and then, in the middle of the match, Bray Wyatt comes out onto the stage and sits in his rocking chair staring at the match. It was at that point, that Cesaro actually took the advantage. Ambrose ended up winning a good match with the Dirty Deeds (this is now a double underhook DDT). Ambrose started to go up after Bray Wyatt, but the lights went out and Wyatt’s images flickered. When the lights came back on, he was gone and the rocking chair was rocking alone.

Backstage, Stephanie McMahon said they needed to remain strong. Triple H said that he was calling Randy Orton. Stephanie reminded him that Orton defied their authority last week but Triple H said they needed the strongest team possible and that means calling in Randy Orton. Stephanie is angry.

Jimmy Uso is out next with his brother Jey Uso for a singles match against The Miz, who comes out with Damien Mizdow. This match was because twice last week the Usos beat Miz and Mizdow when the Usos did the Twin Magic deal. This match ended when Damien Sandow tried to slide in but was pulled out and Jey superkicked him. Then, when Jimmy tried to get back in, Miz caught him and hit the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.

Tyson Kidd, with Natalya by his side, fought U.S. Champion Sheamus in the next match. Kidd actually was competitive in the match. Tyson Kidd actually beat Sheamus by count out when he used Natalya as a shield to keep Sheamus from getting back to the ring on time. Tonight after WWE Monday Night Raw, Sheamus defends his title against Rusev exclusive on the WWE Network.

Dolph Ziggler comes out next for his match. The Authority comes out next (Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Kane, Seth Rollins, Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble). They said that Rollins and Kane will team with Randy Orton in the Survivor Series match and then Triple H went into a big spiel about how John Cena will take all the credit if his team wins and blame Ziggler if the team loses. He tells Ziggler that he can have anything he wants if he quits Cena’s team right now. Ziggler said what he wants is The Authority out of power. The Authority take it out on him by booking an IC title match between Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins, right now. The match was great and Ziggler looked like he could beat Rollins, which was important. When Jamie Noble interfered, it allowed Rollins to hit the Curb Stomp. However, before he could pin Ziggler, Randy Orton flew in from nowhere, hit the RKO and left Rollins lying. The match was a no-contest, but Rollins should have won by DQ.

Backstage, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are arguing about whether they can trust Randy Orton. That brought in Orton, who said he wanted Seth Rollins tonight. After Randy Orton threatened to jump to Team Cena, Triple H agreed to the match with Rollins but said that when they are finished, it is over and they will then go to war together against John Cena.

In the ring, Titus O’Neil is saying that he will be there for The Authority and Ryback comes out and interrupts the promo. “Wake up, it’s feeding time.” O’Neil got in a lot of offense, but Ryback picked up the win with the Shell Shock.

Big Show is interviewed backstage and said that he wants his friend Mark Henry back but he also wants to knock Mark Henry out of his life. They are fighting next. This was a typical big man match. Big Show won by DQ when Mark Henry smashed him with the ring steps. He then hit the World’s Strongest Slam on the ring steps. Backstage, Stephanie McMahon wants Mark Henry on Team Authority.

Brie Bella was trying to do an interview and Nikki Bella showed up and said that she never gave her permission for the interview (slave for a month). After the interview, Renee looked over and saw Erick Rowan standing there with the goat mask on. He touched her hair and said pretty. Back to the ring, AJ Lee is on commentary while Nikki Bella faces Emma. Nikki won with the Rack Attack. After the match, Nikki ordered Brie to slap AJ. AJ responded by knocking the crap out of Nikki and Nikki ran.

Zack Ryder wanted to be on Team Cena, so he was booked to face Rusev. The match was a squash and Rusev destroyed Ryder. After the match, Lana and Rusev said that they will face Sheamus for the U.S. title tonight. Sheamus came out and answered the challenge. Backstage, Stephanie McMahon asked Rusev to join Team Authority. Lana said that she will get back to Stephanie.

Fernando took on Stardust in the next match. It looks like Los Matadores are working as the new contenders to the tag team titles. Of course, Diego and Goldust are at ringside. Miz and Mizdow are at ringside scouting the match. El Torito distracted Stardust, Goldust and Diego tried to get involved, for some reason Miz and Mizdow got in between Goldust and Diego, which distracted Stardust. Fernando hit the backstabber and won the match.

The Authority are at ringside for the main event, which is Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins. Amazingly, Seth Rollins got the clean pinfall over Orton when he reversed an RKO. Orton didn’t want to shake hands with Rollins and asked Triple H what he would do. Orton shook hands with Jamie Noble, Joey Mercury and Kane but then hit the RKO on Rollins. Kane, Mercury and Noble attacked Orton. Triple H finally stopped the attack and tried to talk down Orton. When he did, Orton started to leave but he shouldered Triple H. Triple H spun him around and Orton nailed Triple H. That caused a major beat down. Rollins hit the Curb Stomp onto Orton on the announcer’s table, cutting open Orton’s head. Stephanie ordered Triple H to end it, so Triple H said to end it, although he looked pissed off. Rollins hit a Curb Stomp on the ring steps and Orton had to be stretchered out.

After the show ended, a U.S. title match was broadcast exclusively on the WWE Network with Sheamus defending his title against Rusev. Rusev has never been pinned and Sheamus has never tapped out. Rusev and Sheamus fought a good match, but it ended when Rusev locked in the Accolade and Sheamus passed out from the pain. Rusev is now the United States Champion.
